I was so excited to find a copy of this book in the book store， even before it was officially out， because I loved the idea of a sequel; Following Edens story a little while longer。 Was really excited to read about her kicking ass in court， about her growing up and learning to cope with her trauma in a healthy way and of corse about her finally getting a fair chance at love。to but it short…im disappointedThe pace of the book was way too slow， the story didn’t really happen in the first half。 Thi I was so excited to find a copy of this book in the book store， even before it was officially out， because I loved the idea of a sequel; Following Edens story a little while longer。 Was really excited to read about her kicking ass in court， about her growing up and learning to cope with her trauma in a healthy way and of corse about her finally getting a fair chance at love。to but it short…im disappointedThe pace of the book was way too slow， the story didn’t really happen in the first half。 This book felt like just another random romance book， kind of unnecessary。（i love a good romance but this was just not it）After reading the “way i used to be” i expected to be moved by this book， too， to feel something and have a feeling of my mind being permanently altered。 This did no such thing。 The character development/growth did happen， just not in this book。 Eden suddenly was just a whole another person， being healthy and self aware。 Why did this happen between the books， not in them？？ And Josh just didn’t change at all （except for the last 5 chapters maybe）。 The whole trial thing， unfortunately， was just a sub sub sub plot。 Over all it was kind of okay but a let down after the first one。 If you want to enjoy this u probably should get rid of any expectations first。 。。。more

Crying at books is not something I usually do and having not read the first book I was apprehensive in reading this one。 I did not have to worry， I couldn’t put it down， any questions I had from not reading the first book were answered as I went on。 I cried and cried and am not sure I am emotionally ready to pick up another book yet。 A definite five star read
